NORMAL, Illinois -- Nike's iconic Swoosh is coming to Heartland Community College.

The Heartland CC athletic department has signed a five-year agreement with BSN Sports to become the official supplier of apparel and athletic equipment for all 8 sports. Under the agreement, Nike will become the exclusive provider of all Hawks uniforms, apparel and accessories. 

 "In our pursuit of excellence both on and off the field, this partnership further solidifies our prominence as a nationally competitive athletic department," said Athletic Director Ryan Knox. "Nike and BSN SPORTS help us improve our branding nationwide."  

The agreement with Nike/BSN SPORTS officially started on July 1, 2019 and comes with additional perks and benefits. In addition to the Nike partnership, HCC will also be provided with a range of rewards, discounts and complimentary marketing/promotional materials. 

Before coming to an agreement with Nike and BSN, all HCC athletic programs purchased apparel through various vendors, utilizing a large number of different brands. The Nike partnership  will allow the Hawks to display a uniform look and showcase the Nike Swoosh. 

The HCC community will have the opportunity to purchase Nike branded Hawks gear through online stores hosted by BSN throughout the year. The HCC athletic department will receive rebates directly related to the amount of annual spending in these stores.
