The NJCAA has announced its Division II Baseball All-American selections for the 2026 season, with three Heartland Community College student-athletes earning national recognition. Sophomore Jimmy Anderson was named a First Team All-American, while sophomores Trevor Rehnstrom and Dom Kooistra earned Third Team All-American honors.

For Anderson, the First Team All-American selection adds to an already historic season that included Region 24 Player of the Year and MWAC Player of the Year honors. The Kentucky commit posted one of the best offensive seasons in the country, batting .465, which ranked among the top 10 nationally. Anderson also recorded 26 home runs, placing him among the nation's top five and setting a new Heartland single-season home run record. This marks the second consecutive season Anderson has been named an All-American.

Kooistra capped off a standout first season as a Hawk with a Third Team All-American selection. He finished the year batting .370 with 40 extra-base hits, ranking among the top 15 players nationally. Kooistra was also named First Team All-Region and First Team All-MWAC following his impressive debut season at Heartland. He will continue his collegiate career at Austin Peay University next season.

Rehnstrom earned his first career All-American honor after leading the Hawks on the mound throughout the season. The Lindenwood University commit finished the year with 13 wins, which ranked second nationally. Already recognized as a First Team All-Region and First Team All-MWAC selection, Rehnstrom established himself as one of the top pitchers in NJCAA Division II during his time in the Heartland uniform.

The three All-American selections highlight another successful season for Heartland Baseball and continue the program's tradition of developing nationally recognized student-athletes.
