Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 | Box Score 4 The Heartland Volleyball Team made an impressive showing of 5-0 during last week's match ups. The week they started with the season Home Opener on Wednesday the 28th of August against the Spoon River Snappers. They continued their week with the Jimmy Johns Invitational hosted in West Burlington, Iowa.

Halle Moomaw paced the Hawks in their victory (25-11, 25-12, 251) against the Snappers with 10 kills, while Addison Qualters added 20 assists. Sam Molenhouse contributed 11 digs throughout the match.

The Hawks would return that Friday to play against Marshalltown and winning (26-24, 25-22, 25-12) in a quick 3 sets. Rhiannon Robertson had an impressive outing with 13 kills and an additional 6 digs. Brooklyn Brennan followed with 23 assists, as well as 6 digs.
Following the victory against Marshalltown, the Hawks moved on to defeat Mineral Area College in another 3-set victory (25-18,25-16,25-20). Contributing to the match in a major way was Graci Junis with 12 kills and 11 digs. Brennan also led the assists with 18 while Qualters added 13.

Heartland returned the following day with a sweep in their opening contest against Metropolitan CC (25-16,15-13,25-14). The match ended with Mairen Mannon supplying 10 kills and 5 blocks. Molenhouse added 15 digs.

The final match up of the tournament began with a 25-18 win in set one before falling to Allen County the second set 21-25. After that, the Hawks finished the match with a two-set win (25-12, 25-16) ending the tournament with an impressive 4-0 finish. Junis showed out contributing 13 kills, 3 aces, and 19 digs. Brennan added on 25 assists which Qualters finished with 22.

The women return on September 4th in Champaign against Parkland College, hoping to continue their undefeated, 9-0, start.
