    On Wednesday, September 10th, the Volleyball team stepped out onto their home court to compete against the Lincoln Land Loggers, making this a conference matchup. In a commanding home victory, the Hawks dominated from start to finish, while Sophomore
Sam Molenhouse made history by recording her 1,000th dig of her collegiate career.
    The Hawks started hot and never let up, taking all three sets with dominant leads (25-11, 25-17, 25-8). The offense made their presence known with a total of 40 kills and a .311 kill percentage throughout the match. Sophomores
Libby Detweiler and
Graci Junis had 13 kills apiece. The defense acted no differently, collecting 41 digs and nine blocks to end the evening. Middle
Halle Moomaw led the team with six blocks, and freshman
Addison Pacha accumulated three throughout the contest.
    Rounding out the evening was Libero
Sam Molenhouse, who had 20 of the team's 41 digs. With the match and all that entailed, the sophomore collected her 1,000th collegiate career dig and some. As the season continues, she is sure to break records and keep supporting Heartland's Volleyball defense across the court.
    The Hawks have the day off before they return to host the Heartland Invitational with competition on both Friday and Saturday against fierce competition.
