    A conference match up against the Blazers showed hard game play with battles at the plate. Even though the Hawks went 2-2, they outhit their opponents with 45 hits compared to John Woods 36.

    Hawks hosted the first day of games with the first resulting in a 10-17 loss.
Jesse Contreras showed up at the plate going 3-6 on the day. Contreras singled in the fourth, doubled in the fifth, and finished with a home run in the seventh. Despite the loss, the Hawks picked up 14 hits with the Blazers unfortunately adding up 19 hits in their victory.
Jacob O'Day took the loss for the Hawks with four innings pitched with three walks and five strikeouts. R. Anderson came in after O'Day for three innings with no free bases on three strikeouts.
Michael Belbot finished the last two innings on the mound only giving up one free base with two strikeouts.
    Despite the loss, the Hawks bounced back for game two 3-2 win.
Logan Barnett started out the game on the mound pitching the first 4.2 innings only allowing two runs and three walks while recording fourteen outs with four strikeouts.
Dylan Nagle earned the save with 2.1 innings pitched without giving up a run and sitting down two batters. The position players were able to set the tone in the first when shortstop
Jimmy Anderson homered, scoring two runs. The Hawks had a total of six hits with
Brady Davidson collecting two hits on two at bats.

    Day two was on the road where the Hawks set the tone winning game one 11-3. The Hawks took the lead in the sixth and secured the win in the seventh by scoring seven runs. At the plate, Heartland tallied ten hits with
Max Hennemann leading the pack going 3-5 and driving in two.
Tommy Atkinson showed up big going 1-2 with two walks, driving in one run with taking two bases.
Trevor Rehnstrom earned the win for the Hawks. The starting pitcher allowed three hots and three runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking two.
    Game two ended in a close 6-7 loss but not without effort for the plate and mound.
Jimmy Amptmann (2 IP),
Patrick Gardner (4 IP), and
Jake Gimbel (2 IP) each recorded four strikeouts apiece. The Blazers came out ahead in the end with seven runs on eleven hits. The Hawks tried to rally back at the plate with ten total hits.
Luke Ramsey showed up for the team going 2-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Anderson and Davidson led the Hawks once again going 2-4 at the plate.

    Hawks return to play today against the Lincoln Land Loggers for the fourth conference match up at the Corn Crib.
