November 8th, 2025, goes down in department history as the first time Heartland Community College Volleyball hosts and wins the Central District A Tournament. The Danville Area Community College and Metropolitan Community College stood in the way of the Hawks ' shot of returning to the National Tournament. With their momentum from regular-season play, the team continued to play their game and swept the District Tournament.

    Their first opponent, the DACC Jaguars, was no contest for the raging Hawks. With an attacking percentage of .857, sophomore
Juliana Valdez added six kills and seven assists to the match.
Libby Detweiler showed up at the net, leading the team with nine kills. Helping out with those attacks, setter
Brooklyn Brennan contributed 30 assists. Defensively, the back row remained strong with Libero
Sam Molenhouse contributing 11 digs throughout the three sets. The Hawks swept the Jaguars 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-16) and advanced to the championship match that followed later in the day.

    With both the Hawks and the Wolves winning their previous matches, the two were set to face each other as they look to advance to the National Tournament. Leading the charge, sophomore and captain
Graci Junis had 13 kills with a .476 attack percentage. Brennan continued to contribute to the win with 39 assists, eight digs, and two blocks.
Halle Moomaw and
Addison Pacha showed their strength at the net with 11 kills each. Rounding out the match, Libero Molenhouse dug up 13 balls to end the day. The Hawks swept the Metropolitan Wolves 3-0 (25-12, 25-26, 25-12) and punched their ticket to return to the National Tournament, November 19th through the 22nd.
