Men's and Women's Cross-Country are Heading to Nationals

The Heartland Community College Cross-Country team is looking strong throughout the season and hopes to continue improving until the very end. In their four races, the finishes have been all across the board. Their best finishes came at the Heartland Invitational and the NJCAA Region 24 Meet, both of which ended in first-place finishes. The Hawks look to use their last meet as momentum for Nationals. First-year coach, Johnathon Nowacki, reflects on what he's expecting to see from the men in their race, commenting,
"We're looking to keep the gap close within the team, 1 through 5. Hopefully, we can get 1 to 2 guys with All-American medals or have them place in the top 25. I think Aiden Lee, Kaleb Kilgore, and even Joey Bosch have a shot at getting those honors."

The Hawks have remained a strong and solid team. Nowacki looks at the previous years, in hopes of a change in the future,
"Getting back into the top-5 where Heartland has been in the past is our top goal."

The Heartland Cross Country team will travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa, for the NJCAA Division II National Meet held on Saturday, November 8th.  Good luck to the men's and women's teams as they compete for some hardware.
