    On Friday and Sunday, the Heartland Community College Women's Soccer team hosted the 2025 Region 24 tournament. The Hawks, entering the post-season 11-3-1, were looking to stay consistent and add to their 10-game win streak. As the women have shown, once they start, it's hard to stop them. With two wins over Parkland College and Lincoln Land Community College, the Hawks advance to the District Championship, hoping to repeat a National Tournament appearance.
    To start off the post-season, the Hawks faced the Parkland Cobras for their third matchup of the year. Keeping in par with their previous matches, the Hawks took off as they earned a 7-0 victory. Heartland Community College closed out October in dominant fashion, controlling the match from the opening whistle. Heartland outshot Parkland 32–0 and keeping the defensive end completely untouched, allowing zero shots and zero saves required.
Josy Rogel opened the scoring in the 7th minute, and the offense never slowed.

Paula Igual each added goals of their own. Heartland's midfield movement was sharp, leading to a long list of assists from

Carla Vizuete, and more. With 12 corner kicks and constant pressure, the Hawks controlled every phase of the match and finished with a commanding statement win.
    Sunday, November 2nd, held another strong offensive performance as the team quickly applied pressure. The MWAC 2025 Player of the Year,
Valeria Agudelo, was the difference as she found the back of the net setting the score 1-0. Igual and Marihabia finished the first half with a goal apiece, making it 3-0 going into the final 45 minutes. The second half was filled out with two goals for the Hawks. Marihabi and
Josy Rogel found the back of the net to finish the match 5-0. Agudelo, Igual,
Dayana Tellez, and Marihabi each contributed assists to the win.
    With the victory, the Hawks advance to the District Championship held at the Corn Crib on Saturday, November 7th. Â
