Heartland Men's Soccer Drops Hard-Fought Contest

The men took part in the Region 24 Championship match held in Champaign, IL where the Hawks took on the Parkland Cobras. The team was seeking redemption as they were 0-2 against Parkland in the regular season.

The first 60 minutes were a defensive battle as neither team were able to make advancements easily. It wasn't until Parkland's Gustavo Poli found the back of the net on a breakaway to out the Cobras ahead by one. Even with immense pressure from the Hawks, they were unable to score. Heartland fell short after an impressive match from the offense and defense.

The Hawks finish out the season 6-9 with an improvement of teamwork and efficient movement. The Hawks tallied a total of 32 goals with 218. Defensively, goals did not come by easy when Soren Goubely Dondaine was in the net. A total of 46 saves were made in the 2025 season.

The Hawks end the year with a strong finish showing a cohesive unit with elements of passion for the game and their craft.
