    Men's and Women's Soccer took the pitch over the weekend to compete against St. Louis Community College. From either the win or the loss, the Hawks were able to walk away knowing they competed with high intensity and competitiveness throughout the entire match. Women continued to demonstrate dominance in their game, working as a cohesive unit that capitalized on nearly every opportunity to score. The men's team suffered a hard loss after a fierce 90-minute match. Altogether, the weekend provided both teams with lessons and experiences that will positively impact their postseason play.

Women vs. St. Louis
    The women would kick off the day as the players took the pitch with a 7-game win streak to keep alive. The Hawks stayed consistent in their gameplay, controlling the ball as much as possible. With a total of 11 shots on goal, they were bound to find the back of the net. Stating her presence, Valeria Agudelo collected her 21st goal of the season with an assist from co-captain Carla Vizuete. The second half of the match held two goals. Josy Rogel added a goal to seal the win for the Hawks with an assist from Anjelica Amezquita. Finally, the other co-captain, Paula Igual, would finish the match with her 5th goal, leaving the Hawks with a 3-0 victory.

Men vs. St. Louis CC
    The Hawks were prepared to take on the Archers from the start of the match as the players created intense pressure. The opposing team scored in the 12th minute, setting the tone with some urgency. The offense continued to work towards the net as they were able to get off two shots on goal. Despite that, the Hawks fell to the Archers 0-1 in the end.

    The Hawks have the opportunity to use the first half of the week to become prepared for another Parkland College matchup. The Cobras will be taking a trip to Normal, IL to compete at the Corn Crib on Thursday, October 9th at 4 & 6 o'clock.
