First-year Head Coach Johnathon Nowacki commented on the men's performance, saying, "The men looked the best they have all year on what was a grueling course filled with nonstop hills, uneven footing, and 180-degree turns". This performance goes to show that the Heartland team will be a force in the upcoming National tournament and cannot wait for the performances that will come from the competition. Â
