Box Score 2 Heartland women's soccer remained unbeaten after securing victories at Parkland College and Southwestern Illinois College this past week. The Hawks currently sit at 7-0 overall on the season, earning them a No. 6 ranking in the latest NJCAA DII polls.

Game 1 @ Parkland College
The Hawks opened the week with a 5-0 victory at Parkland College on Thursday. The Hawks scored just a few minutes into the contest, and again found the net in the 49
th minute on a
Maria Hernandez goal, with
Valentina Bernal credited with the assist.
Camila Rico followed with a goal in the 82
nd minute, with
Yeirdan Padilla and
Ainara Aldeano also contributing goals in the 84
th and 86
th minutes respectively.

Hernandez finished the contest with three assists along with her goal early in the second half. Aldeano was also credited with an assist. Goalkeeper
Sofia Mosquera extended her scoreless streak to six contests to open the season.

Game 2 @ SWIC
In a battle of district finalists from a season ago, the Hawks used two second half goals en route to a 3-2 victory over Southwestern Illinois College on Saturday. SWIC's Sofia Hernandez opened the scoring with a goal in the 27
th minute before Bernal connected in the 30
th minute on a Hernandez assist.

SWIC's Sarah Henze broke the scoreless tie just before halftime to make it 2-1 in favor of the Blue Storm. The second half was all Heartland, as Aldeano found the net just a minute into the half with Herandez once again assisting to tie things at 2-2. The deciding goal came in the 82
nd minute, as Aldeano scored once again on a
Sherlyn Avalos assist to secure the win. The Hawks outpaced the Blue Storm in shots 16-11. Mosquera finished with a season-high five saves.
