Heartland women's soccer defeated Northeast last night on the backs of two incredible goals scored by the Hawks. Early in the first half, left wing
Josy Rogel made a flurry of dribble moves, circled around a defender, and delivered a dime to forward
Ava LaFollette who slammed it in the back of the net for a 1-0 lead in the 10
th minute. Late in the second half, forward
Desiree Fassin provided her own fireworks. She megged a defender in the offensive corner before sneaking it in on the near post to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead and delivered the nail in the coffin with 10 minutes left. Goalkeeper Claramalia Pederson made two important saves on the only SOG from Northeast. LaFollette continues to impress, leading the Hawks with five total shots and two SOG. Fassin also had three shots while forward

Luana Jarolin both had SOG.
The Hawks are back on the pitch with another ranked opponent on Monday against No. 15 Iowa Cental at The Corn Crib at 1:00 p.m.
