Box Score 4 The Hawks had another successful week going 6-0 with wins over Lewis and Clark Community and John Wood Community College. While also having an undefeated weekend at the Parkland Fall Invitational.
Heartland vs. Lewis and Clark
The week started Wednesday night with a home conference match against Lewis and Clark CC. The match ended in a quick 3-0 win (25-14, 25-14, 25-8) with contributions across the board. Rhiannon Robertson led the pack with 12 kills and 5 blocks. Brooklyn Brennan was a major addition by adding 19 assists throughout the match. Graci Junis also solidified the win with 5 aces and 6 digs.
Parkland Fall Invitational
To kick off the weekend the Hawks played against #16 nationally ranked Moraine Valley Community College (25-27, 22-25, 27-25, 25-21, 15-10) and #21 ranked Madison College (25-9, 25-19, 25-8).
The first match against Moraine was packed with action from all angles. Mairen Mannon added 16 kills with Junis having 15 kills. The kills were possible with the 31 assists Brennan added. On defense Halle Moomaw contributed 7 blocks while Sam Molenhouse came in as a major help with 32 digs.
The second match of the day ended in a win against Madison College. Robertson again was able to add 14 kills to the match while Brennan contributed with 16 assists. On the defensive end, Molenhouse was able to show out with 11 digs.
The second day consisted of 2 wins with a complete shut out. The hawks started the day against Owens Community College with a win (25-14, 26-24, 25-20). Mannon led the Hawks with 13 kills throughout the match. Brennan added on with 24 assists with a couple of aces. Molenhouse showed out again with a total of 22 digs to close out the match.
Vincennes University was the final match of the weekend which ended in a 3-set victory (25-20, 25-21, 25-13). Contributing to the win was Junis with 16 kills, Brennan adding 20 assists, and Molenhouse adding 15 digs.
Heartland vs. John Wood Community College
To finish off the week, the Hawks would face-off against the Blazers for another home conference match-up. Heartland would come out of the match with a 3-set win (25-9, 25-11, 25-16). Once again on the defensive end, Molenhouse contributes immensely with 15 digs. Adding to the defense was both Kendra Nachtrieb and Mannon with 6 blocks each. Leading with 15 assists was both Brennan and Addison Qualters. Shutting down the Blazers was Robertson ending with 14 kills.

The Hawks overall record now stands at an impressive 22-3 record. The women's team will continue play on the 9th for conference play in Springfield against Lincoln Land Community College. This weekend the Hawks will also be hosting the Heartland Invite at the FRC on the 11th and 12th
