Box Score 4 The Men's team has had a busy few weeks playing a total of 5 games and improving their record to 7-4-2. As the season continues the Hawks are looking to finish off strong with only 2 more matches to go.
Men's Soccer vs. Carl Sandburg
    Back in September on the 22
nd, the Hawks would face Carl Sandburg College that finished in a 2-2 tie. Leading the Hawks was
Luca Hubner scoring in the 20
th and 35
th minute with assists from
Noa Bader and
Guilherme Tomas respectively.
Men's vs. John Wood
    The men would return to play against John Wood Community College for a conference match in Quincy. Hawks would take a 5-3 victory with contributions from all sides of the field.
Daniel Richards would start things off with a PK in the 15
th minute of the match. From there
Mario Fairweather added on a goal with an assist from Richards in the 24
th minute. To finish off the first half, Hubner would tack on a goal with Fairweather contributing with the assist. The second half solidified the win through 2 goals both assisted by
Gabriel Tonks. The first would come in the 75
th minute by Xabi Santramari Ferr followed by Tomas finding the back of the net in the 80
th minute. In the net for the Hawks was goalie
Nick Hardiman with a total of 5 saves to secure the victory.
Men's vs. DI Lincoln Trail
    Finishing off September play was a match up against Lincoln Trail College in Robinson, IL. The match ended 1-1 with the Hawks having a total of 14 shots, 6 of them being on goal. Lincoln Trail would start the match with a penalty kick in the 40
th minute. To help improve the score to a tie was a last-minute goal by Richards in the 89
th minute of play with an assist from Fairweather.
Men's vs. John Wood
    October 5
th was the return of John Wood Community College playing at the Corn Crib. The Hawks took the match in a 4-0 sweep for the series with 10 SOG.
Joe Delaney led the team with two unassisted goals in the first half. Hubner would add on an additional goal in the 63
rd minute with Fairweather contributing another assist for the team. To finish the match, Tonks added on the 4
th and final goal.
Men's vs. Parkland College 9th
    Earlier this week the Hawks fell 1-4 to Parkland College for another conference play match up. For the singular goal of the match, Delaney, with an assist from Richards, would find the back of the net in the 8
th minute.

To finish out the season, the men will face the Cougars of Illinois Central College in East Peoria, IL on the 20
th. After, they will compete in their last home match of the season the following weekend on the 26
th against Neosho County Community College.
