Following a week in between games, the Heartland men's soccer team returned to action Saturday afternoon as the Hawks played host to Patrick & Henry Community College. Despite taking an early 1-0 lead, the Patriots would tie the contest in the second half to secure a 1-1 tie.

Joe Delaney scored the lone goal for the Hawks in the 22
nd minute, with
Noa Bader supplying the assist. The Hawks nearly doubled the Patrick & Henry shot output, with the home team shooting 21 shots with nine of those shots being on goal compared to just 11 shots and five shots on goal for the Patriots.

After holding the Patriots scoreless through the early portion of the game, Patrick & Henry's Enrique Jacobs connected in the 52
nd minute to tie the contest at 1-1. Heartland goalkeepers

Kevin Lambert each finished with two saves apiece.

The men's team will return to action at 4:00 pm Saturday, as the Hawks will travel to No. 18 Illinois Central College in a rematch from earlier in the season.
