Darrin York

Darrin York is entering his second season as the head golf coach for Heartland after serving as an assistant for the Hawks. York graduated from U-High in 1996 and Illinois Wesleyan in 2000, and has been the head coach at U-High since 2012. His teams have won state trophies in 2016 (Champions), 2012 (2nd place), and 2017 (3rd place). 

Coach York is married to his wife Jessica, and they have two twin daughters Emily and Evelyn both juniors at U-High.
York is also a Financial Analyst at State Farm.

Coach York is on his 4th year as Head Coach at Heartland Community College. During his time, York has been progressing the program with talent and course success as the seasons continue. With the promotion and motivation of a winning mindset, the team became 2025 Region 24 Champions with a 6th place finish at the National Tournament.Â
