Conner Swanson is entering his first year as a graduate assistant for Sports Information at Heartland Community College while pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Management at Illinois State University. A graduate of Iowa State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and a minor in General Business, Swanson brings experience in sports communications, media relations, writing, social media, and event support.
Before joining Heartland, he worked with the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, where he contributed to Game of the Week and Athlete of the Week features, season previews and recaps, event operations, and conference communications. Across his time at Iowa State, he also worked at the Iowa State Daily as a sports/academics reporter while working with the Greenlee School of Journalism and Mass Communication on stories for their website.
