WHAT TYPE OF RUNNERS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Scholarship and other financial inducements available for men and women cross country runners.
  • Great running environment at- one-mile mowed grass path around lake on campus, campus is connected to 37 miles of the Constitution trail, two outstanding parks for running on grass within two miles of campus- Maxwell Park and Fairview Park.
  • Strong running community- many top tier runners, two dedicated running stores, home of Lake Run Club and home to at least one local road race virtually every month of the year. 
  • Opportunity to be part of a dynamic team culture committed to achieving excellence.
  • Winter-Spring training will culminate with a Spring Trip to a major road race event.
  • Year-round coaching and training (daily practice in fall cross country season, meet two times per week during the winter and spring)
  • Competitive fall cross country schedule against NCAA Division I, II and III programs. This will provide great exposure to further your running career.
Living:
  • Bloomington-Normal is a college town and has been rated as one of the top 100 places to live!
  • Newer fully furnished local apartment complexes with washer/dryer and all kitchen appliances located within one mile of campus.  
  • Rent and utilities approximately $500 per person, including cable and internet.
