The Heartland softball season concluded with a pair of losses at Danville Area on Thursday as part of the Region-24 Tournament. The Hawks fell 8-2 in the opening game of the day before dropping an 8-0 decision in the second contest to finish the season at 27-29 (13-11) overall.

In the opening game of the afternoon, a five-run third inning by the Jaguars boosted them to the victory. Danville Area scored a pair of runs in the first frame, and five more in the third to make it 7-0. A
Sadie Christensen single and a Danville Area error allowed two Heartland runs to score in the fourth, but that was all the Hawks could manage in the loss.

Raeghan Morefield and Jaidyn Walters each joined Christensen with one hit apiece for the Hawks.
