Heartland softball's season came to an end on Wednesday, as the Hawks traveled to Danville Area Community College for a doubleheader against the Jaguars as part of the Region-24 Tournament. After narrowly falling 3-2 in game one, the Jaguars tallied 13 hits in game two en route to an 8-0 win over the Hawks.

Game 1
The Hawks held strong in game one on Wednesday, as the visitors narrowly fell 3-2 despite an early 3-0 deficit. Danville Area struck first with two runs in the opening inning, and added another run in the third to make it 3-0. A
Mya Robinson solo shot in the fourth narrowed the score to 3-1 before
Sadie Christensen scored on a
Grace Wyman single in the fifth. Despite allowing two base-runners in the seventh, the Jaguars generated the final out and took home the game one victory.
Amber Teimeyer received the start for Heartland, throwing 5.0 innings and allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits, while walking 1.

Game 2
Game two was not as favorable for Heartland, as the Hawks managed just three hits in an 8-0 loss. Danville would score in each frame in the contest, including two runs apiece in the first and second innings. Robinson, Christensen and
Danielle Bogle supplied the lone hits for the Hawks in the loss.
Lauren Shively was credited with the loss for Heartland, allowing 6 runs (5 earned) on 10 hits in 4.0 innings pitched.
