Heartland Community College Athletics

Coach Edison is in his 2nd year coaching at HCC. He comes to us from Illinois State University and will be the program’s first head coach. Coach Edison attended Northern Illinois University and Illinois State University. He has bachelor's and master’s degrees in sports psychology. Edison competed in the prestigious Callaway Junior Golf championships in 2010 where he finished 21st competing against several professionals currently ranked in the top 175 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Edison has qualified for 6 Illinois state amateur tournaments and notched three top 20 finishes for the Redbirds. He won the 2014 Springfield men’s city golf tournament and still competes on the amateur golf scene. Coach Edison lives in Springfield, IL.
